Founder and Primary Audio Engineer at ((pSYONIC)) Labs, Chris Kutz has been a dedicated artist across multiple mediums from a young age. His interests have spanned drawing, painting, sculpture, woodworking, photography, and fashion design, as well as film production.
However, his greatest passion has always been music. Beginning piano lessons at age 5, he later expanded his expertise to drums, synthesizers, and recording by age 16. Chris went on to perform in professional touring bands such as Velvet Acid Christ, The Twilight Garden and Aktivate Sin, all associated with Metropolis Records, also with local Denver band, decanonizeD.

Chris received formal training in audio engineering through the Music Engineering Bachelor's Degree program at the University of Colorado at Denver. Under the tutelage of industry veterans like Roy Pritts and Rich Sanders, he honed his craft using legendary equipment such as the Neve console from the renowned Caribou Ranch studio. His education emphasized things like analog recording techniques, 2-inch tape, plate reverbs, and meticulous studio maintenance, instilling a deep respect for classic production methods. As well, equal discipline was applied to more current digital methods with Pro Tools, sampling and synthesis.
During his time at the university, he worked on various notable projects and secured an internship at Salt Productions Studios (now Side 3 Studios), gaining valuable experience in audio post-production for commercial films and music projects. During this time he also worked at producing indie music videos, fashion design and other creative ventures.

At the age of 23, Chris launched pSYONIC Laboratories, a professional recording studio in a 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse near downtown Denver. He personally oversaw the design, construction, and day-to-day operations of the studio. Over an 8 ½ year period, Chris recorded, mixed, and mastered a wide array of projects, serving numerous bands and solo artists.

Chris spent over a decade working part-time at Guitar Center in Arvada, CO, where he played a key role in one of the company's top pro audio departments. There, he designed systems, sold professional audio gear, and developed an extensive network of industry contacts. It was during this time that the custom cabling division of pSYONIC was born, driven by the demand for cables not available in retail stores.

Chris was also invited to serve as Director at Art of Audio, a Denver based recording school. In this role, he contributed to building the campus recording studio, developed the curriculum, and was part of the faculty, teaching students the fundamentals of recording, mixing, and mastering through a combination of classroom and hands-on instruction.

He has toured internationally with bands, performing and running front-of-house (FOH) sound for audiences in the thousands. Additionally, he has worked with houses of worship, universities, and production companies, and even pursued IT Networking studies. These varied experiences have equipped Chris with a broad and eclectic skill set, which he now channels into making ((pSYONIC)) Labs a hub for custom, artistic, and innovative audio solutions tailored to his clients’ dreams.
